Who We Are
Sweet Nuthings started with a simple idea: bring back the chocolate hazelnut spread I grew up loving in Turkey and make it better, cleaner, and with real ingredients. My mission was to create a chocolate hazelnut spread without palm oil.
I loved Nutella, but as I was aging, I needed a healthier Nutella alternative. Every Nutella alternative I tried was either full of unnecessary ingredients or tasted “healthy”. As a scientist and lifelong hazelnut lover, I spent months perfecting a recipe that honored the flavor I remembered while removing everything that didn’t belong. After lots of trial and error, lots of batches going to trash because they were just “good”, I finally was able to create the best tasting clean label chocolate hazelnut spread.
I began making small batches in a local commercial kitchen and selling them at farmer’s markets around the Pacific Northwest. Those early mornings, the conversations, the honest reactions made me keep going. People tasted the difference immediately. Customers came back week after week, bringing friends, asking where they could buy more. Their excitement told me I was onto something real.
What started as a nostalgic passion project quickly grew into a mission: create a chocolate hazelnut spread where hazelnuts come first, ingredients stay simple, and flavor speaks for itself. Today, Sweet Nuthings is still crafted with that same commitment.
